How I got here...
NOTE: This is the only picture I would let LeeAnn have...
So how I got here? Mine too is a winding story, but my 'center' has primarily been: Finance. I really enjoy it - working through numbers to make sense of them and, as it relates to a business, IMPROVE them! LeeAnn and I met in Dallas doin' deals several (?!) years ago. We've worked on some really successful transactions, so...we're still 'at it'.
The backgrounder
Carlos is a seasoned investment banker with over 38 years of varied public and private banking experience.
Corporate finance experience includes initial public offerings, mergers and acquisition assignments, and originating, structuring and placing private equity investments. International experience includes lending, project and trade finance and work as an expatriate.
Additional experience consists of providing financial advisory services, and financing/advising public-private transactions.
Carlos possesses financial analysis skills, deal-structuring and negotiation skills and sophisticated business development and relationship management abilities that have led to successfully building market share.
With a love of all-things food & beverage, Carlos has worked with multiple food manufacturing, distribution and product companies, as well as several single-unit and multi-unit restaurants and restaurant concepts. This work in the food industry has included debt & equity raises, debt restructuring, private offering creation and management, as well as general business advisory services.
Carlos holds a BSFS in International Economics from Georgetown University, and his MBA from Southern Methodist University.

FUN FACTS:
I am a foodie, no doubt about it. Living in Sarasota, FL now, one of my favorite pastimes is trying the very local (mom & pop) seafood places. I'm also a coffee snob who can't get enough fresh baked...well...anything, really. I enjoy time with my family, exploring the Gulf Coast; and I really like the idea that home repairs might actually wrap-up one day!
